“Meditation is the clarifier of a beclouded mind.” – The Tibetan Doctrine
The secret of meditation is actually very simple. Meditation allows us a greater sense of all that is. When you allow your mind to be entirely in the present, you are meditating. Meditation focusing techniques include: repeating a phrase or a chant, following your breath, or sitting still and listening to on the sounds around you. It can be done while sitting or walking, and meditation techniques can even be applied to everyday activities.
Meditation can help us by allowing us a reprieve from our physical sensations, while the mind soars, if only for a moment, above our body consciousness and the material world. Having no thought of the body, we can be free of its dis-harmonies. When we come back into our awareness of ourselves we bring a truer sense of what is important in our life. You can also focus on others and be of service no matter what is happening in your life. Take the time in your meditations to fill yourself with unconditional Love, then offer that love to the world. See your love enveloping the world, a change will come about, it can’t not.
Journal Exercise: Make up a phrase or mantra, stated only in the positive, for yourself, keeping in mind your powerful intention to heal. Repeat this mantra or phrase several times a day. Remember that your unconscious is logging your phrase into its database.
